Gabions made of woven reeds were first used by the Egyptians 2000 years ago for their aesthetical appearance and natural beauty.  Today, many architects and landscapers are rediscovering the beneficial properties of stone filled gabions.

Mount Beauty (Vic) – where a new hotel development is using a world-class gabion finish to create an aesthetically sympathetic environment around the perimeter of the development as well as inside the hotel grounds.

Craigieburn Bypass (Vic) – where an architectural water feature was constructed adjacent to a major VicRoads road interchange, creating a visually stunning structure. Galmac coating adopted for greater durability.
