Dump Structures (or dump/tip walls) are widely used internationally for mining operations, utilising our Terramesh system with secondary reinforcement to create a solution to the problem of heavily loaded, dump walls on mine sites. Dump Structures are typically used wherever a primary crusher is located to provide a ramp for the trucks to climb up and tip their load into the primary crusher from above.
Dump Structures have been constructed in many mines around the world, including walls in excess of 25m height. Dump Structures have been built throughout Southern Africa, South America, USA, Canada, Asia and Australia. Locally, Dump Structures in excess of 9m high (vertical and heavily loaded) have been constructed in Australia (to AS4678) with great success and have proven to be the most cost effective solution compared to other similar Mechanically Stabilised Earth (MSE) systems. The large amount of rock readily available on most quarry and mine sites for packing of the face makes the Terramesh System an ideal option for these types of solutions.
